About the Department of Workshop Welcome to the Department Workshop at Loknete Shamrao Peje Government College of Engineering, Ratnagiri.

Why Workshop?
The Workshop of the institute is not only academic department but also central facility connected with various departments in the matter of men, material and machinary.Practicals of different engineering trades are conducted along with maintenance and students project work.Due this versatility Workshop becomes integral part of the institute.

Key Functions of the Workshop Department:

1.Practical Skill Development: Hands-on training in machining, welding, carpentry, fitting, electrical works, and other technical trades.

2.Laboratory and Workshop Facilities: Equipped with machines like lathes, milling machines, welding setups, carpentry tools, and electrical testing devices.

3.Project Work & Experiments: Students perform projects, experiments, and exercises to understand real-world applications.

4.Safety Training: Emphasizes safe working practices and safety protocols in workshop environments.

5.Curriculum Integration: Practical sessions are integrated with theoretical courses in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and other engineering branches.

As far as possible market focus is given to prepare market utility jobs. The department is headed by Prof(Dr.) Ranadhir R Landge,(Workshop Superintendent) having experience of 28 years and supported with young and dynamic technical staff.
